Achievements

1. We lobbied for the M25 J 25 Widening and Holmesdale Tunnel Refurbishment Project not to span two Christmas periods. This was achieved:

  • BBA arranged a visit to the construction site.
  • We requested that the Contractor keep us informed of changes that affected traffic flow. Representatives attended the quarterly meetings of the BFQP

2. Local road network issues were addressed:

  • Introduced Real Time Electronic Traffic Information Sign linked to the London Traffic Control Centre.
  • Improved road signage to assist drivers unfamiliar with the area.
  • Assisted companies with delivery difficulties by providing them with detailed plans of the parking facilities in an area of concern.
  • Initiated changes to parking regulations to improve freight vehicle access and improve road safety.
  • Introduction of fixed Bus Stops on Mollison Avenue.
